Facebook Integration

Description

e-Res provides provides a Facebook-friendly reservation module so that customers can check availability and book tables directly through your Facebook page.
Simply follow the 4 steps below to add the booking module to your Facebook page.

Step 1

The first thing we need to do is to copy your booking page URL to the clipboard.  In order to do this, open up e-Res and then click on the Online Booking->Page Info button at the top of the screen.
Then, on the Settings screen, click on the “Facebook” item in the list and click the “Copy to clipboard” button.



This will open up the booking page details screen as shown below.  Select tge "HTML & Web Link" option from the list on the left and then click on the Copy URL to clipboard button.



Step 2

Now that we have the URL on the clipboard we can integrate with Facebook.
On a PC, open Facebook and navigate to your restaurants page. Once there, click on the “Add a Button” option just under your main image.
Note: If the button is already set to another action, hover the mouse over it then click “Delete Button” first then click “Add a button”

Step 3

On the screen which pops up, click on the “Make a booking with you” option then click on the “Use App” sub option.



We used to be able to use the "Book Now" option and enter the booking webpage there, but Facebook have since locked this feature down to a handful of "select" partners and, unforunately, e-Res is not one of those. Therefore we have to use the Use App option instead.

Enter your URL (copied from e-Res) into the box provided and click Save. 



Your customers can now make reservations by clicking on the Use App button on your Facebook page.
